The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will focus on delivering accurate, credible scientific and clinical information to key healthcare professionals (HCPs) and other healthcare decision-makers and stakeholders, and communicating relevant, timely, and actionable insights to inform the Medical Affairs strategy and other internal initiatives. The MSL will also support evidence generation initiatives by collaborating with internal medical and clinical colleagues and external HCPs to support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trial development, initiation, and enrollment.

Principal Responsibilities

• Serve as scientific peer-to-peer resource to external disease experts and internal stakeholders
• Support the medical community with up-to-date medical information, robust disease expertise, and product information
• Communicate clinical insights to the Medical Affairs team to inform medical strategy for the therapeutic area
• Strategically map, identify, profile, and prioritize thought leaders in line with the medical plan and goals
• Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with key medical experts in the oncology community
• Develop an understanding of the regional landscape including specialties involved in care of patients
• Maintain effective and appropriate communication among internal and external stakeholders while ensuring full compliance with relevant requirements
• Support clinical development initiatives as needed including site identification, initiation, and enrollment
• Support investigator-sponsored clinical trial proposal submissions and communications with investigators
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of MSL activities

Travel

Travel within region up to 75%. Required travel to medical meetings, and other group meetings. (will require some weekends)

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences or pharmacy), or allied health degree with extensive professional experience in the field. Advanced degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, or similar role.
• Current experience supporting oncology drug development.
• Must have an understanding of compliance considerations and demonstrate ability to work compliantly in a field-based medical role
• Have well-established networks and active relationships with KOLs in the oncology community (preferred)
